National Lead Reduction Law

We recently caught up with Barbara Higgins, Executive Director of  Plumbing Manufacturers International to get the latest on the National Lead Reduction Legislation.  Barbara was kind enough to provide us with the official press release on this proposed legislation getting signed into law by President Obama:

ROLLING MEADOWS, ILLINOIS (January 6, 2011) – Plumbing Manufacturers International (formerly Institute) is pleased to announce that the national “Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act” was passed on December 17, 2010 during the lame duck session and was signed into law by President Barak Obama on January 4, 2011. The bill becomes effective January 4, 2014, allowing ample time for manufacturers to comply. Read the full release
