Speakman Company Appoints Blake Snow as Director of Sales, Commercial & Hospitality

New Castle, Del. January 4, 2012— The Company that supplies showerheads to some of the most well known hotels has appointed Blake Snow as the new Director of Sales, Commercial & Hospitality.

Blake joins Speakman from Kohler Company where he served in many different capacities, including Regional Manager, Director of Marketing for Global Faucets and most recently as Director of Sales & Marketing for Mark David custom contract furniture. His background in plumbing & recent knowledge and experience with the hospitality market will be a key asset to Speakman Company.

Blake joins Speakman at an exciting time and will play a major part in the company’s growth initiatives in commercial plumbing and residential shower and bath. His main focus will be further penetrating the hospitality market with the existing line of high-performing showerheads and the new bathroom collections including Neo & Rainier.

In 2011, Speakman introduced 30+ new showerhead products and is gearing up to launch and full suite of bathroom fixtures.

This season, Speakman is working to do their part in helping all children enjoy the holiday expierence. Speakman Company employees are embracing the true meaning of Christmas this year by participating in the “Adopt-a-Child” program sponsored by the Ministry of Caring in Wilmington, DE.
With the names and ages of 31 local children, Speakman employees provide Christmas gifts for them, a charity of good will that will hopefully be passed on during the year.

Speakman Sells Evaporative Cooling Business

New Castle DE; Speakman Company announced that they have sold its Speakman Cooling business which consists of two individual product lines. The OASys and the Air2O lines have been sold to two separate interested parties.

The Speakman Cooling business is part of Speakman Company, a 143 year old plumbing company. Speakman Cooling started its business in 2005 with the introduction of OASys- an advanced indirect/direct evaporative cooling technology. The OASys IDEC product line was purchased by Practical Renewable Energy Corp. of Las Vegas, NV. Practical Renewable Energy may be contacted at 702-463-2642.

In 2010, Speakman Cooling moved beyond the OASys™ line and launched the Air₂O™, a unique and sustainable line of Indirect/Direct evaporative coolers. Speakman Company Welcomes Governor Jack Markell

On Tuesday, November 1st, Speakman Company was delighted to welcome Delaware’s Governor Jack Markell and Richard Geisenberger, Chief Deputy Secretary of State & Director of Corporations, for a visit to Speakman Company and a tour of the factory. Additionally, Governor Markell and Richard Geisenberger assisted Speakman in welcoming International customers who support the exports of Speakman products internationally.
Governor Markell met with the International customers, from Australia, Mexico, Israel, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and Ecuador, to share his appreciation of the business relationships with Speakman and its positive impact on the Delaware economy.
Governor Markell then toured the Speakman factory and spoke with fellow employees. He spoke of his appreciation for the dedication from Speakman employees and their support to aiding the quality and production of Speakman products. Governor Markell supports Speakman in its efforts to expand the company and its product offerings, to increase their contribution in the growth of the Delaware economy.

Speakman’s SEF-1000 & SEF-1800s Exclusively Available in Lead Free!

Speakman is pleased to announce that all of our SEF-1000 & SEf-1800 models are now being sold exclusively in lead free brass.

There are however a few options for these products that are not lead free brass, -FP (foot pedal) and -ST (serrated tip) continue to be made out of the same material as before.

At this time out battery powered and A/C powered sensor models are made out of traditional brass are are not compliant to lead free standards.

In March we unveiled our updated to our legacy product, the S-2252, which is replacing our S-2252-AF, which will be phased out later this year.

Once our inventories of the S-2252-AF are depleted we will begin fulfilling orders with the S-2252.
